My love for cooking came from my parents. My earliest memories involve watching my mom and dad in the kitchen back in Phetchbun, a province in the northeast of Thailand. They instilled within me the importance of fresh ingredients, which are crucial in creating good dishes. Since then, my love for cooking has grown through experimenting with classic Thai dishes to create my own recipes, with the goal of making dishes that are both tasty and elegantly plated.
I came to the UK in 1994, and have worked my way up from a general kitchen assistant to head chef. Even in my earliest days in the hospitality business, I had a desire to do something different from other Thai restaurateurs. I finally opened my first restaurant in 1998, where I could share my passion for cooking.
The atmosphere is also important in creating an enjoyable dining experience. My team and I have dedicated ourselves to ensuring that our restaurants are more than just eateries, but rather places where you can relax and enjoy delicious Thai dishes in beautiful settings.
I am thankful for my team who play a huge part in the success of Siam Corner Ma Ma Thai, from the lovely front of house staff to the talented head chefs. All of us are looking forward to seeing you at one of our restaurants!
